With the recent election of Mayor Mia B. Love, a vacancy exists on the City of Saratoga Springs City Council. This seat will be filled by appointment of the City Council with a term that expires in December 2011.In order to be considered for this appointment, qualified applicants must submit a letter of interest and a resume to Lori Yates, City Recorder, by Friday, January 29, 2010. Submissions will be accepted by fax: (801) 766-9794, email: lyates@saratoga-springs.net, or in person or by mail: 1307 North Commerce Drive, Suite 200, Saratoga Springs, Utah 84045.
Qualified applicants must be US Citizens at least 18 years of age, be registered to vote, be current residents of the City of Saratoga Springs and must have resided in the City for at least twelve consecutive months immediately prior to serving on the City Council.
The City Council intends to conduct an initial review of the applicants. Based upon a review of the letters of intent and resumes, the City Council will narrow their selection and choose the top candidates for an interview during a City Council meeting in February.
