Saratoga Springs uses a Mayor Pro tempore instead of assigning a Vice Mayor. The Mayor Pro tempore is someone who acts as a place holder in the absence of the mayor.
The City Council on Tuesday January 12th, 2010, through secret ballot, appointed Bud Poduska as the Mayor Pro tempore for the year 2010.
